dowel pin, with the workpiece hole as the positioning datum, participates in limiting the freedom of the object parts, controls the linear motion of the object in the X, Y and Z axes, and the six free motion degrees of rotation around X, Y and Z. In a mold consisting of two or more parts, a pin designed to position the two adjacent parts of the mold accurately. When the body is connected by multiple parts, and each part needs to maintain accurate position during processing and assembly, positioning pin should be used for positioning. If the split type box is composed of a machine cover and a frame, the processing of bearing holes on it has high precision requirements, so in the design, two dowel pins far from each other should be set on the split surface to ensure its processing and assembly accuracy.
