From 2012 to 2021, the added value of China's industry increased from 20.9 trillion yuan to 37.3 trillion yuan, of which the added value of manufacturing increased from 16.98 trillion yuan to 31.4 trillion yuan.

China is the only country in the world with all the industrial categories listed in the United Nations industrial classification, and the output of more than 220 industrial products ranks first in the world.
